The Palghat Fine Arts Society is a registered body formed in 1960 to boost cultural activities  in general and Carnatic Music in particular in and around Palakkad. With the  co-operation of music lovers of Palakkad, we could invite top most musicians of South India both Instrumental and Vocal for the past 50 years.

The Palghat Fine Arts Society is entering into its Golden Jubilee Year with its activities being conducted at its own premises in the heart of Palakkad town. In 2005 society acquired 20 cents of land at the entrance of Tharekkad Agraharam Near Chembai Memorial Govt Music College of Music. The construction of an auditorium in the ground floor was completed and inaugrated on 27th April  2008 by veterans Padma Bhushan T.V Sankaranarayanan and Padma Vibhushan Dr. Umayalpuram Sivaraman. The Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Society began with a major National Music Festival from 1 Feb 2010 to 14 Feb 2010.
